General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has advised members of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team to follow the party’s disciplinary procedures before calling for sanctions against party officials.
His comments follow demands by the team for immediate action against Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi), and Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe (Abronye DC), over alleged comments suggesting the party’s electoral roll was being manipulated ahead of the January 2026 presidential primaries.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Mr. Frimpong said he had not received any official complaint on the matter and only became aware of the allegations through social media. He emphasised that the NPP constitution clearly outlines how grievances must be handled.
“Our party is not one where you wake up and suspend anyone like that. Article 4 talks about discipline and grievance procedures. The first step is to lodge a complaint,” he stated.
Mr. Frimpong stressed that until a formal petition is filed, he has no legal grounds to act. “If a petition comes and I don’t act on it, then you can blame me. But until then, I cannot do anything,” he concluded.
