A disturbing video allegedly showing the headmaster of Okagyakrom Senior High School in the Oti Region in a compromising position with a female student has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation.
While the authenticity of the video is yet to be officially confirmed, education stakeholders and concerned citizens have described the development as shameful and unacceptable. Critics argue that the headmaster’s actions represent a gross abuse of power, undermining the trust placed in him as an educator and role model. At the same time, questions are also being raised about the conduct of the student, with calls for young people to be more conscious of the dangers of engaging in such acts that compromise their dignity and future.
Observers insist that both the educator and the student bear responsibility for the act, even though the greater blame falls on the adult in a position of authority. Ghana Education Service (GES) is being urged to investigate the matter swiftly and, if confirmed, to take decisive action to safeguard the integrity of the school system.
This incident has reignited the national conversation about discipline, morality, and the need to strengthen measures to protect students from exploitation while also instilling values of responsibility among young people.
