A road crash on the Akatsi bypass in the Volta Region on Friday, November 28, 2025, left one person injured while three others walked away without harm.
The incident involved a Hyundai Elantra Touring (DV 6502Z-25) and an Opel Astra (GT 6464-W), according to information from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Firefighters from the Akatsi Station rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the collision. By the time they arrived, the injured occupant had already been removed from the vehicle and taken to the Akatsi Municipal Hospital for treatment. Emergency responders examined the three remaining passengers and confirmed that they had not sustained any injuries.
GNFS personnel secured the crash site to ensure the safety of other road users. Their work included controlling traffic on the stretch, stabilising both cars, and assisting with the eventual clearing of the vehicles to prevent additional incidents.
The Fire Service noted that the swift coordination of its team helped protect motorists and restore normal flow on the bypass shortly after the accident.
