The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) is reportedly nearing completion of its investigations into the case involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and is set to transmit the necessary documentation to the Attorney General’s Department this week.
According to Sammy Darko, a spokesperson familiar with the matter, the move is intended to facilitate the extradition process for Mr. Ofori-Atta, who is currently believed to be in the United States.
This development follows earlier correspondence from the Attorney General’s Department requesting the OSP to forward the case docket to enable further legal action.
The OSP has yet to release an official statement detailing the specific charges or findings, but sources indicate the case relates to alleged financial misconduct and breach of public office procedures.
Further updates are expected once the docket is officially submitted.
