The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has confirmed the completion of cross-examinations for all accused in the ongoing Northern Development Authority (NDA) procurement case.
In a statement on its official Facebook page, the OSP noted that the defendants had previously issued subpoenas for staff members from both the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) and the NDA to appear in court as witnesses.
The trial has now been scheduled to continue on November 25 and 26, 2025.
The OSP also highlighted preventive measures taken before the trial began, including halting payments on a contested contract and directing the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to suspend any disbursements until the matter is fully resolved.
Those facing charges include Sumaila Abdul-Rahman, former NDA CEO; Stephen Yir-Eru Engmen, former Deputy CEO (Operations); Patrick Seidu, former Deputy CEO (Finance and Administration); and Andrew Kuundaari, CEO of A&QS Consortium Limited. They are accused of manipulating procurement procedures to secure unfair advantages in contract awards under the NDA.
The case continues to attract public attention as authorities stress the importance of accountability and transparency in Ghana’s public procurement processes.
