The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has rejected assertions that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is presently the most attractive political party in Ghana.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, the NPP lawmaker said political momentum is fluid and expressed confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can regain any supporters who may have shifted allegiance.
“I disagree with the notion that the NDC is the most attractive party now. Power may influence perceptions, but we are confident we can win back all our lost supporters,” Mr. Boamah stated.
He emphasized that assessments of the NDC should be grounded in their actual performance in government, citing the recently presented 2026 budget as a key benchmark.
“To understand what the NDC can deliver for Ghanaians, we need to examine the 2026 budget. It provides a clear comparison between their policies and ours and presents evidence that Ghanaians can evaluate,” he said.
Mr. Boamah added that the budget will reveal the NDC government’s ability to fulfill its promises, offering voters a true reflection of the party’s competence.
He encouraged NPP supporters to remain focused, highlighting that the party continues to have strong policies capable of convincing Ghanaians ahead of upcoming elections.
