Pharmatrust Professional College has celebrated a significant moment in its educational journey by graduating the first batch of HND Dispensing Technology students during its 21st Graduation and Matriculation Ceremony held on 1st November 2025.

The event marked a dual celebration, honouring the achievements of graduating students while welcoming new entrants into various health-related programmes.

A total of 39 students successfully graduated from the HND Dispensing Technology Department, becoming the first cohort since the department’s establishment. Their accomplishment represents a major advancement in Ghana’s pharmacy education and training landscape.

Among them, Stephen Guansah, Mercy Okine, and Mary Gati received special awards for academic excellence and exemplary conduct.

The ceremony also saw 11 students graduate from the HND Medical Laboratory Technician programme, with Amos Duho and Samuel Amponsah emerging as Best Graduating Students.

In the Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) category, top performers included Stephen Oduro (SCC Campus), Edna Appiah (Kasoa Campus), Veravicky Nwadzuzu Chinoye (Teshie Campus), and Venissa Wiredua Manful (Ashaiman Campus). For the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) programme, Hetty Johnson and Semira Seidu were honoured for outstanding performance.

The event was chaired by Pharm. Stephen Boadu Appiah, Director of Arc Medical Centre, who commended the college for maintaining high standards in health education.

The Special Guest of Honour, Pharm. Michael Kudebong, Esq, Acting Registrar of the Pharmacy Council, applauded Pharmatrust for its consistent pursuit of academic and professional excellence, urging graduates to uphold ethical principles and integrity in their careers.

In his address, Dr. Anthony Adjiepong, Director and Principal of the college, reflected on Pharmatrust’s humble beginnings in 2015 with just six classrooms. He expressed pride in the college’s growth into one of Ghana’s leading private health training institutions, attributing its success to “dedication, discipline, and teamwork.”

Mrs. Gloria Adjepong, Deputy Principal, encouraged graduates and matriculants to pursue excellence guided by the college’s core values of discipline and moral integrity.

“At Pharmatrust Professional College, we combine academic excellence with ethical grounding,” she said. “We emphasize knowledge, skill, and character, the three pillars of professionalism. The world needs not only knowledgeable people but trustworthy individuals. Our mission is not just to train minds but to shape hearts.”

She commended the graduates’ perseverance through the challenges of professional training, adding, “You have endured sleepless nights and countless assessments. We say Ayeekoo.”

The event also highlighted the government’s and institutional stakeholders’ growing recognition of Pharmatrust’s role in bridging the skills gap within Ghana’s healthcare sector.
