The management of Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon, has dismissed as false and offensive recent claims suggesting the school is a “breeding ground for homosexuals.”

The allegation was made by lawyer and media personality Miss Serwaa Amihere during a live video broadcast and has since attracted public attention.

In a statement issued by the school’s authorities, PRESEC described the comment as reckless and deeply damaging, stressing that such sweeping characterisations unfairly stigmatise students and misrepresent the institution’s values.

According to management, the remarks undermine the reputation of a school that has, for more than 80 years, been committed to academic excellence, discipline, leadership training, and Christian moral formation as a Presbyterian mission institution.

The statement further noted that branding students in such a manner exposes them to ridicule, prejudice, and emotional harm, while attempting to erode public confidence in the school.

Management emphasised that the comments bear no resemblance to the school’s ethos, describing them as gross distortions of PRESEC’s mission and identity.

PRESEC assured parents, alumni, and the general public that it remains resolute in safeguarding the dignity of its students and upholding the standards of character, discipline, and excellence for which the school is known.
