Former President John Dramani Mahama has travelled to Salaga to extend his condolences to his Executive Secretary, Dr. Calistus Mahama, who recently lost his 80 years oldmother.
The visit, marked by warmth and solemnity, reflected the strong bond and mutual respect within the former president’s inner team. It also showcased a shared sense of grief across those who have worked closely with Dr. Calistus Mahama over the years.
Former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu was also present to offer his sympathies, joining the family in prayer and providing comfort during the mourning period.
President Mahama was accompanied by his wife, Lordina Mahama, and his brother, businessman Ibrahim Mahama, as the family gathered to support their colleague in this moment of loss.
The Office of the Former President extended its thoughts and prayers to the bereaved family, asking for God’s peace for the departed.
Madam Salomey Afishat Mahama, mother of Dr. Calistus Mahama, passed away a few weeks ago after a short illness.
