A quiet Monday afternoon turned tragic for a family at Big Apple, a community within Gomoa Buduburam, when a fierce blaze tore through their five-bedroom home and reduced it to rubble.

The fire, which ignited at about 4:00 p.m., consumed the entire structure before residents could rescue any property. By the time the flames died down, the house had been completely destroyed. No injuries were recorded, but the loss of the home and personal belongings left the affected family devastated. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Emmanuel Dogbe, Assembly Member for the Gomoa Buduburam Electoral Area, described the incident as sudden and overwhelming. According to him, the landlord and occupants were taken by surprise as the fire spread rapidly from room to room, giving them no chance to salvage valuables.

He, however, commended firefighters from the Buduburam National Fire Service for their prompt arrival. Dogbe noted that although the house was lost, the swift action of the fire officers prevented the situation from escalating into a larger community disaster, as nearby homes were at serious risk of catching fire.

Investigations into what sparked the blaze are expected to begin soon.
