Ghanaian rapper Kweku Flick has revealed that award-winning rapper Sarkodie once unknowingly promoted his bottled water brand after buying it from a roadside vendor in traffic.
Speaking in an interview on Angel FM in Kumasi, Kweku Flick disclosed that Sarkodie purchased a bottle of Pointed Eyes water while stuck in traffic, unaware that the brand was owned by the musician himself.
According to Kweku Flick, Sarkodie later publicly expressed admiration for the water, effectively giving the brand a free endorsement.
“He bought my water, Pointed Eyes, in traffic and really liked it,” Kweku Flick said. “So he did a free advert for the owner, not knowing that I was the owner.”
The musician explained that Sarkodie’s mention of the product gained significant public attention, turning a simple roadside purchase into a major promotional moment for the brand.
“When I saw the advert, I later let him know that the water was mine, and that was it,” he added.
Kweku Flick described the moment as impactful for his business, noting that Sarkodie’s organic endorsement carried considerable influence due to his stature in the music industry.
“It was a big advert, and I was very thankful for it,” he said.
