The 2025 Tidal Rave Festival transformed the La Palm Royal Beach into a massive oceanfront party over the weekend, as thousands of revellers from across Ghana and beyond flocked to Accra for the country’s biggest beach entertainment experience.
Staged on November 14 and 15 under the theme “The Wild Card,” this year’s edition delivered the perfect blend of music, art, fashion, and nightlife culture, reaffirming Tidal Rave’s status as a major fixture on Africa’s youth entertainment calendar.
A festival of colour and energy
By midday, the beachfront was awash with colour as partygoers in bright beachwear, neon accessories, and artistic body paint streamed into the venue. Early DJ sets, including an energetic performance from DJ Casper Sandra, set the tone with thumping Afrobeats, amapiano, and EDM mixes that drew crowds to the dance area long before sunset.
Star-studded performances shake the coast
The lineup for this year’s festival was anything but ordinary. Acts such as Moliy, Darko Vibes, Olive The Boy, GonaBoy, Kweku Smoke, and Gyakie kept the energy sky-high with their signature hits and crowd-favourite anthems.
The biggest eruption came when Black Sherif stormed the main stage around 5 p.m. The award-winning artist delivered a gripping performance, electrifying the beachfront with powerful renditions of “Kwaku the Traveller” and “Second Sermon,” sending fans into a euphoric frenzy.
Ayra Starr seals an unforgettable edition
The festival reached its climax when Nigerian sensation Ayra Starr took the stage as the headline act. Her high-energy performance, complete with an impressive vocal display and choreography, wrapped up Tidal Rave 2025 on a breathtaking note.
By the time she exited the stage, it was clear that this year’s edition had cemented itself as one of the most memorable in the festival’s history.
