Police in the Eastern North Region have arrested two individuals, Yaw Ntoso and Perpetual Ayitey, after intercepting a quantity of suspected narcotic substances at Amankwakrom on the Agordeke–Donkorkrom stretch.

The arrest occurred on November 13, 2025, when a regional snap-check team stopped a Kia Bongo truck being driven by Ntoso. During the inspection, officers uncovered three white sacks filled with 135 compressed slabs of dried leaves believed to be cannabis, tightly sealed with yellow cellotape. An additional 21 oval-shaped parcels of similar material were also found.

Both suspects have been detained and are assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries. Police say the pair will be put before court once investigations are completed.
