Amenfi Central MP, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, is sounding the alarm over the lack of electricity and mobile network coverage in her constituency, describing the situation as “unacceptable” in 2025. She emphasizes that these basic amenities are essential for socio-economic progress, education, healthcare, and communication.

The MP’s concerns highlight the challenges faced by rural areas in Ghana, where infrastructure deficits hinder development. The absence of reliable electricity and mobile network coverage isolates communities, limiting access to information, financial services, and economic opportunities.

Hon. Cudjoe’s remarks serve as a call to action for government agencies, telecom operators, and development partners to prioritize interventions addressing these critical gaps. Despite her efforts to improve the situation, the lack of progress is disheartening.

It’s worth noting that Hon. Cudjoe has been recognized for her impactful work, receiving the “Most Impactful MP Award” at the AFTAG Philanthropic Awards & Charity Night 2025 for her dedication to social welfare and community development.
