The Vice President of Ghana, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has announced that she held a productive meeting with Portage Energy, a clean-energy company specializing in sustainable waste management and waste-to-energy technologies, including the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
In a Facebook post made today, November 19, 2025, the Vice President revealed that discussions centred on a potential partnership aimed at strengthening Ghana’s commitment to responsible waste management.
She emphasized that, given Ghana’s current political and economic climate, the country is seeking “true, transparent, and mutually beneficial partnerships and collaborations that advance national development while creating real value for our people.”
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang noted that the government is optimistic about continued engagements as both parties explore pathways for collaboration that align with Ghana’s national interest.
