The brother of NPP presidential hopeful Kennedy Agyapong has launched a scathing attack on the former Minister of Trade and Industry, K.T. Hammond, labeling him “ungrateful” for his bitter campaign against Ken Agyapong. Speaking in an interview on Lawson FM, Ken’s brother revealed deeply personal details of the relationship between the two men, arguing that Hammond has benefited from Agyapong more than any of the other four aspirants in the race.
The interview centered on the idea that political rivalry has crossed the line into personal betrayal, especially given the history of domestic support Hammond reportedly received from the Agyapong household.
To illustrate the depth of their former friendship, Ken’s brother shared a specific detail about their daily lives. He claimed that during K.T. Hammond’s time as a Minister, it was Kennedy Agyapong’s own wife who personally ensured Hammond was fed every morning.
”Ken’s wife served him breakfast during his time as a Minister of Trade and Industry,” the brother revealed. “If someone does not have a relationship with someone, how can one send breakfast to the other?”
The brother noted that he was a frequent witness to this kindness: “I found out this because I used to pass through Ken’s house in the mornings before going to work. This breakfast thing was at the least.”
The brother expressed shock at seeing Hammond “campaigning bitterly” against a man who had treated him like family.
The brother argued that even if Hammond does not want Ken in power, he should refrain from “speaking ill” of him out of respect for their past.
”This he has done has destroyed the relationship between him and Ken, because he has proven to be an ungrateful friend.” He added.
The brother concluded by insisting that none of the other candidates currently being supported by Hammond have ever made the same level of personal sacrifice for him that Kennedy Agyapong did.
