Ghanaian entertainer Leftizzle has recounted how persistence, studio training and a freestyle performance on social media opened the door for him to work with internationally recognised musician Fuse ODG.

Speaking about his music journey, Leftizzle revealed that he spent time learning and developing his craft by frequently visiting the studio with fellow musicians.

“I used to follow Rap Father, Ogidi Brown, to the studio for some time just to learn and perfect myself,” he said.

According to him, after gaining confidence in his abilities, he recorded his first song titled Tell Me and presented it to them.

“When I finally did my first song, ‘Tell Me,’ and played it for them, they were both surprised after listening to it,” he recalled.

Leftizzle explained that his major breakthrough came unexpectedly during a night out in Kumasi.

“I went out with Osahen at Ahodwo for a party, and while there I was on Twitter now called X when I saw Fuse ODG post that upcoming artistes should share their works,” he recounted.

He then decided to upload a freestyle he had done on one of Olamide’s songs and tagged it with the hashtag “support underground.”

“I posted a freestyle I had done on an Olamide song and added the hashtag ‘support underground,’” he said.

According to him, the response on social media came quickly and unexpectedly.

“Later, I started seeing notifications on Twitter congratulating me, and then I was invited to the ODG Mansion,” he disclosed.

That opportunity, he said, became the turning point in his music career.

“That was where everything started,” he stated.

Leftizzle revealed that after travelling to Accra, he was given the chance to showcase his creativity and talent.

“I went to Accra and was given the freedom to be creative. I gave it my best and hoped they would invite me back, and they did,” he explained.

He added that the collaboration eventually led to the creation of the song Lamle, which impressed Fuse ODG and secured him a recording deal.

“We made ‘Lamle.’ He liked my work, and eventually he signed me,” Leftizzle revealed.
