Ghanaian musician and social commentator Wanlov the Kubolor says he already sees himself as a pastor because of the messages he promotes through his activism and public commentary, despite not identifying with any religious institution.

Speaking on Asempa FM during an interview, Wanlov responded to a remark by the host, who suggested that, based on comments and writings by Wanlov’s father, he believes he could eventually become a pastor in the future.

Reacting to the remark, the musician explained that he already considers himself a preacher of social truth and accountability.

“I see myself as a pastor because I preach against corruption, galamsey, and other social issues,” he stated.

According to him, his approach differs from traditional religious leadership because he does not associate his advocacy with any specific religious identity or church structure.

“I just do not attach any religious branding to it,” he added.
