Spiritual leader Osofo Yesu Wofase has attributed the hardships faced in Africa to what he describes as a lack of respect for nature, particularly water bodies.
Speaking on Angel FM, Kumasi, he contrasted African attitudes with those of developed countries.
“The whites have been able to develop because they respected nature; they do not joke with their water bodies,” he said.
He warned that neglecting nature has consequences for society.
“Because Africans do not respect nature, that is why we are suffering; nature is angry with us,” he urged.
He emphasized that nature must be treated with reverence.
“Nature is supposed to be respected, but Africans are very disrespectful to it,” he said,
Touching on spirituality, he urged people not to dismiss certain practices associated with nature.
“If you visit a man of God and he directs you to bathe with a certain leaf, it does not mean he is not from God.”
He also offered guidance on personal decision-making and moral discipline.
“Follow the small inner voice and ignore the loud one to avoid temptations,” he advised.
Explaining further, he said:
“We have two voices; the louder one is for Satan, and the smaller one is for God; that is why we need to always listen to the smaller voice so as we would not fall into trouble,” he said.
